Thinking About Post-Genki Study
To: Triunfo.email Reader
Hello fellow language planners,
As I continue this deep dive and review phase of Genki 2 with Sae, really trying to master the material rather than just cover it, I can’t help but start to think about the future.
What comes after Genki? It feels like a big question. I’ve heard a lot about textbooks like ‘Tobira: Gateway to Advanced Japanese’ or ‘An Integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanese.’ Each seems to have its own strengths and focus.
It’s still a little way off, as I want to be absolutely sure I’ve squeezed every drop of value from Genki 2, especially these nuanced later chapters (still working on making Chapter 17 second nature!). But it’s exciting to look ahead and plan the next stage of the journey. Any recommendations or experiences with post-Genki textbooks would be welcome!
Planning ahead,
Oliver
