Watching a Japanese Drama - Less Subs!
To: Triunfo.email Reader
Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed something pretty cool recently that I think is a direct result of this slower, more intensive study of Genki 2 with Sae. I’ve been trying to watch some Japanese dramas, and I’m finding myself relying on the subtitles less and less!
It’s not that I understand everything perfectly, far from it. But more often now, I’m catching whole phrases, understanding the gist of conversations, and picking up on nuances just from the audio. The focused work on grammar and vocabulary seems to be really helping my listening comprehension.
It’s a great feeling to see this kind of practical improvement. Maybe all those hours wrestling with complex grammar are actually working!
Happy listening,
Oliver
