Hi everyone,

It feels like a big moment in my Japanese learning journey! After months of hard work with Sayaka, we’ve worked through a significant portion of the Genki 2 textbook, covering many of its core grammar points and vocabulary up to around Chapter 15 and a bit beyond.

While I wouldn’t say I’ve ‘finished’ Genki 2 in its entirety, we’ve built a really solid foundation. I’ve learned so much from Sayaka’s methodical approach. However, I’m feeling the need to slow down and really internalize some of the more complex aspects and nuances before moving too far ahead.

It’s a huge milestone, and I’m proud of the progress. Now, it’s time to think about how to best deepen this understanding.
