Hello readers,

Another checkpoint reached on this language learning marathon: I’ve made it through Chapter 6 of Genki 1!

Each chapter builds on the last, and I can feel my understanding of basic Japanese grammar slowly but surely solidifying. Concepts that seemed impossible a few months ago are starting to feel more intuitive. Don’t get me wrong, I still make tons of mistakes, but there’s a definite sense of progress.

I’m actually feeling a bit more confident with forming simple sentences and understanding the core structures. It’s a good feeling to look back and see how far I’ve come, even if there’s still a mountain ahead!
